Taking a (very) short break from posting albums for a bit. I have a new complete release all prepped and ready to go, but I don’t wanna spread myself too thickly. (Plus I’m accepting an internship in radio that will probably keep me pretty busy, but shouldn’t have a massively negative impact on my ability to produce.) In the meanwhile, I’m engaged in a project with one ThePowerPlumber, from the MS Paint Adventures forums. He’s in the midst of running a Team Fortress 2-themed text adventure, and for the occasional flash movie he has requested me to provide a soundtrack. (Which basically entails remixing the theme songs of each class.) As a fan of TF2 I simply could not resist.

Several tracks have been produced thus far, and one is currently available as a preview:

The $400,000 Slot – Also available to download.

Will the final product see a release on BreakBit? I’d like to think so. We’ll see how many tracks I end up producing for it.

In the meanwhile I heartily recommend you check out ThePowerPlumber’s interactive text-piece, entitled You Are Heavy Weapons Guy. It’s a very funny read, and fans of TF2 should certainly get a kick out of it.

Cheers.

I’d like to briefly call attention to our good friend and affiliate Futures Passed, home of online electronic not unlike the kind you can hear here, who is currently seeking remixes for a tune of his, for a special LP release.

The original tune can be found here.

And on Last.FM.

For all interested parties, a thread in the Futures Passed forums explaining the project and the samples can be found here as well. Catchy YTPMV stuff, and a great educational tool as well. (For learning about how are babbys formed.)

I’ve already done my part. :D

Even if you’re not interested, do check out what few remixes have been posted so far. I understand our own McMangos has one in the works too, so you know that’s gonna be great guns.

Cheers,

I’m officially finished posting back-catalog releases of my tracks. With that in mind, after my next full-length release (It’s Fun To Steal, tentatively planned for a late May release.) I’ve decided to go back and remake some of my older tracks for a new release. I like my older material, but you may notice that they aren’t terribly well produced.

So I ask anyone interested to give me some suggestions. Which of my previous works would you like to see re-made? I’d love to know. Comment here with an old track or two if you please.

In only tangentially related news, I highly recommend the works of these two gents: DJ BadAxe, a trance DJ with a CD currently out on CDBaby, and ThornBrain, who makes intriguing ambient music, also dabbling in rock and industrial on the side.

Cheers.
